Through three gatherings, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the theological underpinnings for dialogical preaching, how it is particularly powerful for preaching on controversial topics, and the way it can help restructure worship in anti-racist and anti-patriarchal ways. They will experience and participate in dialogical sermons and then have the opportunity to write and proclaim their own within their pastoral context with coaching from the instructors and support from their cohort.
You don’t have to already be in an alternative or “contemporary” church setting to begin dialogical preaching. This cohort will help ministers take the gifts of dialogical preaching and introduce them in ways that make sense in their own church context.
Contact Virginia Taylor to join the waiting list for this event.
Program begins Thursday, August 28, 2025.
