Ka’thy Gore Chappell has years of experience in various fields, including congregational ministry, academic institutions, denominational non-profits, preaching and coaching. A graduate of Auburn University (B.S.), Southern Seminary (M.R.E.) and Central Seminary (D.Min.), Ka’thy exhibits a passion as a Christian educator. Specifically, her D.Min. work, “Creative Leadership with an Entrepreneurial Spirit,” challenged Ka’thy to own her storytelling style as well as expand her mindset that focuses on the creative use of participation, inclusion and imagination. Affirmed professionally for leadership and mentoring, Ka’thy is a winner of the Anne Thomas Neil Award for Leadership (BWIM NC) and the Frankie Huff Granger Mentor Award (BWIM National). Ka’thy was married to Russell Chappell who passed away from an extended illness in 2018; she was recently made a grandmother by her daughter and son-in-law who live, work, and minister in Waco, Texas. Currently, Ka’thy lives in North Carolina and anticipates a future move to Texas.
