Rev. Brenda J. Thompson is an experienced preacher, minister, and curriculum writer who brings warmth, creativity, and theological depth to the pulpit. A graduate of Duke Divinity School, she has served in church ministry, nonprofit leadership, and theological education for more than a decade. Brenda previously wrote for Ministry Happens with Kate Bowler and served as Assistant Producer of the Everything Happens podcast. She is also developing her own youth and children’s resources through Common Ground Curriculum. Brenda is married to Adam, also a youth minister, and together they share life with their daughter Caitlin and their dog, Gus. She is passionate about proclaiming the good news and considers it a joy to encourage and strengthen congregations through preaching.
